How to Homeschool on a Shoestring Budget

There are lots of things you can do to begin homeschooling. When I first started last year, I wasn't sure where to begin. I didn't know all of the terms like "Charlotte Mason", "Eclectic", "Unit Studies" or "Unschooling". I wasn't a part of a group or co-op and I was out on my own. I started by making my own worksheets with pen and paper. I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to take over the education of my two younger kids. I had big plans. I went to the library and picked out books in different topics. I started with the dinosaurs by studying one at a time. We would do our written work with pages I printed off of Edhelper and Teachnology. Then we would read. They would read to me and then I would read to them. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I still have twinges of guilt when I see the stacks of resources I have accumulated. I feel like we don't get enough done. Life goes on and we still have chores and errands. We work through weekends and holidays. This year I have attempted to be more organized. I wanted to share some links with my readers.
